The Saint George Trek is The National Catholic Committee on Scouting’s® high adventure Catholic leadership program for older Catholic BSA Scouts and Venture Crew members at Philmont Scout Ranch. The program brings Catholic high school youth from around the country together with selected priests, religious and seminarians for eleven days of backpacking in the context of a vocation retreat. This 11 day retreat is held every two years. The 2024 event is scheduled for July 3rd through July 18th, 2024

Scouts must be approved by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Committee on Scouting. Two scouts from the Archdiocese may attend each Trek. Interested scouts should complete the application for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis before September 1st.

After a scout is approved by the Archdiocese Catholic Scouting Committee, the application on the National Catholic Committee must be completed for approval. Some financial support will be provided by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Scouting Committee.
